Born and based near Montreal, Dominique Lebel specializes in Gothic, macabre, and occult painting, influenced by the 19th-century Romantisme Noir movement. She draws inspiration from classics of the genre, particularly those in literature and film, such as those by Guillermo Del Toro and Robert Eggers.

In her works, she allegorizes the dark side of humanity, its passions and tragedies, through the lens of fantastic.

A self-taught painter, she has experience as a 2D animator in Quebec studios since 2019. And when she's not wielding a paintbrush, she's either hiking deep in the woods, listening to Ghost's latest album, or participating in a Sabbat.
